Monte Cristo pass

Drove up Monte Cristo pass this afternoon. You'd think gas was still $1/gallon, with all the bikes, convertibles, and leaf peepers out on the road today. Was a gorgeous day, and I tried out my new Sony CyberShot camera (fits in my tank bag much better than my Nikon DSLR!)

I got up near the top of the pass, two minutes too late! The whole front edge of this parking area were about 25 Corvettes parked next to each other, with beautiful fall leaves in the valley behind. Just as I turned off my bike I heard someone yell, "Okay, let's head back down!" Argh! I got a couple shots off, but woulda been a lot better, just two minutes!

Autumn Aspen yellow and Faster Blue, nice color combo isn't it? :thumbup:

Stopped for gas on the way home, and a couple drove up in matching Ducati 1000's, that looked cool! A good day!

Man thanks for sharing. If you are like me and haven't really been out of your own state you would love the photos you guys share. Man the FZ6 is also especially since it's the faster blue one but that back ground is beautiful and awesome. I hope someday I get to see some stuff like that.

Nice shots, beautiful country! Monte Cristo is one of my fav movies also (the recent version with Jim Caveizel). Keep posting as Winter approaches, so we can be reminded of nice riding.
