Mirror removal from housing and reassmbly

I browsed lightly through on a search and didn't readily find a post about actual mirror removal from the housing. Has anyone done this intentionally w/out crashing? I am craving a signal in the mirror and want to attempt it myself. From what I can see I don't see a way of doing it as I had hoped.

Any help? My thanks for any input you may have.

Yeah, but I guess I wasn't persistent enough in my wording choices or in my patience at looking through the results.
