Okay, here's the rules, no gore and think OPSEC.

Here's my last day at work headed to my "Freedom Flight"!!!

The second is with a glass of Middleton in the Shannon airport about 96 hours later. First drink in 6 months.

I may have posted some of these before but here are pictures of my Granddad, his brother in WWI and fighting Pancho Villa back in 1911 (I think). Also. some of my Dad in the air force in the 60's.

Dont worry mate, I have made it my civillian duty to ensure that your liver and alcohol tolerance have not wained. Its been a tough tour for us both. Joking aside.
It fills me with joy that you have got home safely.

if we are talking about Iraq:

90,000 civillian casualties
4000 US soilders dead.
147 UK soilders dead.

Thank God you are safe.

Hellgate...I see we've stomped through some of the same dust and dirt at the same time....this should look familiar

Oh the beautiful Aw Fal palace, the play ground for Saddam's son's. Gotta love the carp (Saddam fish) that live in the lake. We liked to fatten them up with KBR mini-pizzas.

I wish I had taken a photo of Haj "raking" the water, your tax dollars at work. ;)

Thanks Neil - I've been though Shannon a number of times on the way to a variety of places and that damn bar has always been a huge tease. US service members can't drink in uniform. As we were exiting the aircraft, the flight commander got on the intercom and said that everyone could have ONE drink IF they behaved, so I figured I'd make it a good one. It bit hard and then it was smmmooooooth!

Hi Mate,
I did not mean to neglect to mention your fellow country men. The UK body count is also rising in that theatre.
I pray that all the service men & women can make it home safe.

So let me get this straight Neil...you work for Middleton???? I am SO not worthy!

When I came home on R&R in May I bought a bottle of the serial numbered, in the wooden box, Middleton in Shannon. Me and my buddy who is a retired Command Sergeant Major killed the whole thing in one long sitting. Needless to say I didn't drive home that night! No headache the next day. WOW!
