Let's see how much fuel we spend on our FZ6's or for any motorcycle for the month of March 2012

I'll start it off, refuelled this morning, being the 1st:

360.1kms (224mi)
18.31L (4.84 US gal)
$1.657c/L ($6.27 US gal)

Edit - I'm going to put my odometer here as well. It's off about 7.5% due to the SpeedoDRD. I try to keep this in mind when figuring MPG.

Fill up # 1 - 15173 miles - March 04 - 3.37 gallons @ $3.99 a gallon = $13.45 US
Fill up # 2 - 15345 miles - March 12 - 4.05 gallons @ $3.95 a gallon = $16.01 US
Fill up # 3 - 15512 miles - March 19 - 3.93 gallons @ $3.99 a gallon = $15.70 US
Fill up # 4 - 15677 miles - March 25 - 3.95 gallons @ $4.18 a gallon = $16.50 US
Fill up # 5 - 15816 miles - March 25 - 3.23 gallons @ $4.03 a gallon = $13.00 US
Fill up # 6 - 16015 miles - March 30 - 4.67 gallons @ $4.12 a gallon = $19.22 US

So, today will be that last time I get gas this month. Here are the totals (I know this is more info then requested)...

I rode 842 (non corrected) miles and used 23.2 gallons of fuel totaling $93.88 USD. Average fuel cost per gallon was $4.04 USD per gallon. Correcting the mileage (7.5% low due to SpeedoDRD) gives me a more accurate 905 miles with an average fuel economy of 47 MPG using 19.83 gallons.

Dont have my receipt on me as i am at work so cant remember exact price of fuel or how many litres but i know i got £21.30 this morning so about 14.5 litres. lets see how much money i dont have by the end of the money

well im starting off with 1/2 tank, but im on vacation for a week Spring Break!!! yea college life -_-
and I made the decision (I feel a wise one) to not ride my bike from Marietta to Bradenton Florida. I realllllyyy wanted to but I would end up doing something stupid and it would piss me off, so cage it its lol

I purchased fuel on the 22nd Feb after a winter lay off so I am going to include it. This fuel was first ridden with on the first of March when I started my nights. I hope this clarifies the situation.
22/02/12 €1.579L 12.65L @ €20.00.
03/03/12 €1.579L 17.00L @ €26.84.
20/03/12 €1.640L 17.00L @ €27.88 (5 cent increase per litre)
28/03/12 MPG: 29.4 L/100km: 8.0 km/L: 12.5 Kilometers: 192.0 Litres: 15.350 Price: €1.629/Litre Total: €25.005
29/03/12 MPG: 53.1 L/100km: 4.4 km/L: 22.6 Kilometers: 274.1 Litres: 12.130 Price: €1.649/Litre Total: €20.002

Not quite - it's $6.27AU for one US gallon. (our dollar is worth more, nah nah!)

Yeah, but luckily, the UK is only roughly the size of a postage stamp, so a tank should last you about 18mths? (except for the fuel you waste standing still, due to the congestion.....)

LOL!

I travel a similar distance of going from Leeds to Liverpool every day, just going to work! (and have to fill up every two and a half days)

OR, maybe we could use only fuel purchased in MARCH for the MARCH fuel expenditures thread?

I wasn't aware its a competition. I want to track my cost from the start of the season. Which for me was the 22nd. To show there are no hard feelings, if I win you can have the prize.

If you truly want to track your cost from the start of the season, can I suggest you starting a thread entitled 'Fuel Expenditures for the season', as opposed to specifying any particular month?

Like really, is the concept THAT hard to grasp?
