Low beam stays on with high beam

I just got my naked conversion done. I bought the kit from dev_usc. It looks great. But when i flip my high beam on the low beam stays on too. Do you guys know if i wired it up wrong? Any info appreciated. Thanks

Just try flipping the H4 connector wires (Black with green dots and Black with yellow dots) .. see attached pic

oh sanp.. i just realized... the low beam always remains on....
THIS IS HOW IT IS ON STOCK HEADLIGHTS ALSO.... The low beam is always on and when you flip the high beam switch the high beam comes on and the low beam stays on too..

I don't imagine it being that big of a problem unless you are constantly running with your high beam on. The people who have done the dual headlight mod (depending on which way they done it) have the high and low on at the same time on the high beam side.

If you search for the dual headlight mod, there are instructions on how to run only the low and high on that light. I would imagine you need to do the same wiring just to your single light.

I also ordered the same kit for usc_dev and just plan on leaving it just how you have it. I don't imagine myself running high beams for long periods of time.

I realize this is late, but +1 to the above post.

When I put my new headlight on (single 7" with H4 bulb), I just pulled the original low beam wire (green/black I think) to the H4 low beam. Then I realized that since the low beam was on all the time in the stock setup, I was running both the high and low beam filaments whenever my high beam was switched on. This, coupled with the fact that I ride with the high beams on all the time during the day, was most likely what was causing me to go through bulbs very quickly.

I fixed this by doing BD43's dual headlight mod, except without the nice connectors and all. I replaced the original low beam wire going to the H4 bulb with a new connection from the headlight switch. If you look at BD43's thread, you'll see what I'm talking about. With this method, whenever the high beam is on, the low beam is off.

Alot of older vehicles use to do this too, It can give a better spread of light but not always, since your main beem throws light farther out, it leaves a dark spot in front of the car, having both filaments burning can sometimes eliminate this...

Low beam stays on with high beam - that is ok, becouse you have more light on shorter distance (low beam) and longer distance (High beam).
Also the most of a new cars have the same sistem - low beam stays on when you turn on highn beam.
More light - more safe
