Sounds like there's pros and cons to this subject.
I've ridden friends bikes with loud pipes and prefer a quieter sound myself. I'm about to do 4-5,000 miles on a trip next month and I wouldn't want to be subjected to loud pipes the whole time. Maybe commuting and short trips would be ok. I do like my stock pipes and have no plans on changing them.
That's what the horn is for.
I guess if the electric bike technology continues to improve we will have to find a way to make them noisy?
