LFZ6's bike, let the mods begin.....

I have a few more mods to add to the list now, my husband has been hard at work with both of the bikes (among other projects going on now)...

I traded the Yamaha touring windscreen for the Puig windscreen. Since I am so short I finally figured out that it was my windscreen causing buffeting. I really liked the look, but I really love the Puig and I no longer have buffeting.

I sent my factory seat to Seth Laam to rebuild it and it is soooo comfortable! I have back issues and when riding for long periods it will cause nerve pain in my leg. We just road nearly 600 miles in 2 days, I did not have nerve pain at all, and was not squirming in my seat like normal.

Datel volt meter to monitor battery voltage.

My new tires are Michelin Pilot Roads.

Evotech radiator guard for better protection than the factory one provided.

OES frame sliders and Evotech fork sliders. Just in case....

Last but not least....I finally had time to have the factory pinstripe from the front fairing removed and applied my FZ6 decal FAZR6 made for me. I think it evens out the pink nicely.:cheer:

Wow! How did I miss all your modding!?Yeah tall windscreens get be buffeting so bad I can't focus. Short screens for me!

I cannot account for my whereabouts either.....

^^ Great Work! The bike has come a long ways!

So its got 1.0 or 0.95kg/mm front springs? And the other question, Cliff will have to ask! I just have to wonder if thats a bit overkill??! Spring rate wise

Looks Great! :thumbup::thumbup:

It has 1.0 right now. With these my sag is perfect. Although I am going to be losing a lot of weight soon and I'm sure we will have to go with lighter springs then.

Bike looks really nice. It's crazy how much work your husband put into a bike that isn't his lol.:rockon:

Very nice work!

A couple of questions:

Did the stock cables work with the handlebar risers? Any modding of the cables for fitment?

What top box and mount are you using?

I am modding a new to me FZ6 for better comfort for touring.

Thanks,
Dave

The cables where fine, No modifications necessary. The top case is Givi. The mount is the factory mount, have one of the Euro guys look up the part number for you (as I no longer have it). We have a friend in the Netherlands that helped us out with it.
