LED Strip lights as running lights + blinkers

Last week I installed some LED strips above my headlights a-la the new Audi headlight styling. I also wired them in to be running lights as well as blinkers using the attached pdf diagram. I now have my flushmount blinkers constant on but blink with the flasher module, and the led strips are constant on blinking as well. I figured the whole "pod light" thing was overdone, so I went my own route.

Did you have to do any drilling to get them to stick? WHere did you get them also?

no drilling on 04-06 fz6's as there is a place above the headlights and behind the windscreen that they fit perfectly. On 07+ bikes, this mod won't work.

I got them from ebay, but oznium.com sells the same thing.

That's a pretty kewl idea. I am curious though; do they stand out from the headlights at night? Being white and all, I wonder if they are blending in. would be a great mod for my bike if I hadn't already painted my windscreen.

yeah. I found that on some wicked cool FZ6 site. Not sure where.... sure was neat, though.

Pretty cool it looks sick! How long did it take to install. Im in the process of making a FE kit with LEDs I might try this idea too. Being a Fireman you can never go wrong with LEDs. lol

no drilling, at the back of the strip has glue tape, jsut stick to the surface.

Thats sweet.. I plan on doing something similar using amber led strips on my belly pan.. Wired as running lights/turn signals.. It should look pretty sick if I ever get around to doing it

Does anyone measure voltage on that led strip? I have 11V but before install that led strip it was almost 13V! Does anyone know is that wrong or right?!?
Does that demage the battery or anything else?

Higher the revs the higher the voltage. The alternator on the bike has to produce more than the 12v battery to charge it. with the engine off and running just from the battery the voltage SHOULD be 12v. 1volt shouldn't make a difference, it's current that fries things anyway!
