Heres the Skinny on the difference between the bars. (I had all three -fz6-fz6r-fz1 in my hand not too long ago)

Fz6 and Fz6r have the same rise, but the fz6r bar has a wider sweep, the same as the FZ1 bar.
Fz1 of course has no rise to it.

I recently put the fz1 bar on my fz6, but the bar had to be rotated upward for so the controls would clear the tank. Kind of put a wrong angle on my wrists, I wanted the bars to tip down more. So I ended up putting a make-shift bar riser on it so i could rotate the bars down more and make my wrists happy.. Which worked out for well for my 3400 mile trip to Colorado!
Thats just my findings!

As long as you didn't let any air get in the line you won't have an issue

^^ you don't want it to hit under any circumstances. I forgot that was required when I installed mine. But ya, loosen banjo fitting just enough to rotate brake line out of the way. From the looks of your fluid you might just want to flush that sometime soon too!

Not that its ever gonna get JAMBED FULL LOCK while riding, but should it happen the last thing you want is to shear a brake hose off. Unlikely with plastic, but do make sure it has clearance.

yeah I was wondering how you guys did this so it's good that I move it out of the way. I will rotate it more just so it has some clearance.

Oh and my brake fluid is clean. I had both front and rear's fluid changed last year. The window on the brake fluid reservoir is almost opaque cause the PO had to leave it outside and the poor thing got quite a tan from sitting outside for many years in the sun. Most of my plastic bits are opaque, even the coolant reservoir. Can't see anything.

I rode for a couple of hours with the Fz1 bar yesterday and my hands got so numb. I couldn't feel anything at all and the numbness stayed for a few hours after I stopped riding.

Other than putting silicone and sand in the bar, which I am not willing to do, I was wondering if any of you have done anything to the bar to reduce vibration. I am waiting for my bar end to arrive since my previous Rizoma bar ends are not compatible.
