Just got my first Fz6 and was wondering about frame sliders.

hey i just got a 2007 fz6 and im new to this forum my old bike was a 1995 zx6r which i loved but it was time to move on to bigger and better things, but any way i was wondering about frame sliders i'v seen a couple places on here that say there great and iv seen a couple places where they say that the frame sliders will crack the frame on the FZs so i was just wondering what your guys input is on that? i have frame sliders on it now should i take them off? or leave them on?
