What are the differences from the 08 to the 09 i want to get some frame sliders but done see anything for the 09.

Welcome to the forum!!! My local dealer has an 08 and an 09 FZ6 sitting side by side... I don't think anything changed except the price.

I'm getting a 08 model for a reduced price because of the new paintjobs

I picked up a 09 FZ6 too this past week. I purchased a set of frame and swingarm Motovation sliders after receiving a response back from them that while they haven't yet confirmed their sliders on the 09 model, since it's fairly unchanged from 08 the sliders should fit.

They said too that if there were any issues, I could return the sliders for a full refund.

I'm hoping the OP can confirm that. According to my local Yamaha dealer, this just ain't so. He even showed me the 09 FZ6 spec sheet, which showed the comfort seat as an accessory. I told him that I'd seen a write-up on the 09 FZ6 and that the comfort seat was standard equipment.

I just got an '09 too. Frame sliders that fit an '08 will fit an '09, I've got shoguns and I'm using motovations swingarm sliders. Both fit fine.

So why did you guys choose the 09 over the 08??? It would have been cheaper to get an 08.... i got an 08 off the showroom floor and kinda wish I had waited and save some cash by getting a used bike.

i think the only year that had no swing-arm sliders was the 07. I have the 07 and would like to put them on in case of a drop, but o'well.

I drilled and tapped my swingarm for spools/sliders.

Everybody has the frame sliders they will fit.

No new '08's available in California. Believe me, I tried. I checked with 7 different dealers and they all had the same story.
I got a great deal on the '09 anyway, so I'm happy.

The 07,08 and 09 are all pretty much the same. I have doubts if there will be a 10.

This is interesting about the comfort seat...

The only reason I said it came standard with one is because I read in the FZ6 wiki entry that it came standard when they raised the MSRP, which would make sense.
