Is the 04 thru 06 Fairing bigger?

I recently bought a very nice 06. I was at the steeler today and saw an 09 they were trying to sell. Seems like the fairing in general looks narrower not sure about the windshied mine has a Puig or whatever you call that name on it.

yes the 04-06 fairing is deeper than the 07-09, the 04-06 covers the radiator cap and the indicators are integrated in the fairing, the screen is also larger/wider and more expensive to replace

They are totally different. The 04 - 06 offers better wind protection IMO.
