In all honesty, why do we really spend time worrying about what others do. Just make sure you yourself are protected, its common sense what will happen to your head if you fall off without a helmet. I would never get on a public road without a helmet and the one time I rode on my private road it was amazing, but strangly too open for me!!
Its law to wear it here so I dont have much of a choice but there comes a point when you just have to stop and let others decide these things for themselves. If they want to do a dangerous hobby with no protection then its their grave if they happen to crash.
Sad but honest truth.
Cool pictures too, I wonder what would happen to your head if you did wear a helmet, surely you do still get cuts from some impacts?

^^^When I had my big crash my helmet took 10 hits; I cartwheeled down the track at 125 mph. The lenses of my glass broke and I had glass shards in my face and forehead but not a single scratch on my head otherwise.
If not for the helmet, a helicopter and a good ER team, we wouldn't be having this chat...helmets are good.

Helmets are for panzies.
Because an idiot crashing without a helmet means the bills will be exponentially higher than crashing with a helmet. Which in turns means higher insurance rates for everybody.
It is indeed a question of common sense... the problem is that a lot of ppl lack it....

There was a Russian or Polish video a while back that showed a 'Professor' in a Lab. On the lab table was a human skull and a motorcycle helmet. He talks on in a language I didn't understand (My problem not his 
) and then proceeds to swing a massive sledge hammer into each. The skull explodes, the hammer bounces off the helmet.
Then he picks up the helmet to show a guy under it with a comicly dazed epression. Great add for 'Wear Your Helmet' I can't seem to find it anymore.

Harleys suck. He probably doesn't wear a helmet because, as with most (all?) Harley riders, it's a big image thing and they want to make sure everybody notices everything.

Wow ..some of those Hd guys are so far up their own arses its unreal..if you ask me, going out on the road with no helmet is as reckless as russian roulett and as selfish as suicide..i feel for their families

We have to worry because when they become brain injured and have to have medical treatment for the rest of their lives, here in Australia the TAXPAYER coughs up for it.
I'm a taxpayer and I wear all my safety gear. Why should I pay for some idiot who only wears a bandana?
This topic makes me really mad....
I see so many people without gloves, helmets - just riding with shorts and a t-shirt. Wearing protective gear won't always save you from injury/death, but in many crashes, it can save skin, loss of fingers and even more......
I live right next to a "group" home that has some residents that are brain injured, and guess what...most of them do not have never ending insurance or loaded families to pay for life long care, their care is provided by state and federal "tax" revenues !!!.
I don't want my hard earned federally "borrowed" dollars going to support some freaking idiot who thought wearing a helmet was uncool !! Anymore than I want it to fund some stupid study to understand why the North American honeybee can't have s*x in mid air.

Obviously this guy doesn't ride much:
"Cool? Aw hell no. Beside I'm too old to worry about looking cool. Comfort is what it's all about. I refuse to wear the "power ranger garb" because it is uncomfortable. Period.

On Monday an employee of mine was rushed to the hospital due to a brain aneurysm. He may or may not heal, he may or may not live. Today they brougth him out of a drug induced coma. He opened his eyes and was asked if he was in pain. If he as he was to squeeze with his right hand, he did. Then he was put back into the coma so hopefully his brain can heal.
The above dude doesn't live in reality. What a selfish fool.

It's the same here in the USofA. I'm a doctor and I work in a government funded hospital (County Hospital). I'd say 75% of my patients are uninsured and get free health care compliments of Jack/Jane taxpayer. All we need now is a bunch of knuckle heads without helmets adding to the cost of healthcare in this country.:ban:
