Came down over some fluid on the street during a turn. Was not paying attention and it was 100% my fault but I ended up bending the life out my handle bars and bending something else too. I had got a new bar and threw it on but i noticed the bike still not straight. you guys think this is frame damage, maybe fork damage, or it could just be bent back with elbow grease and I don’t need to worry about taking it to the shop. Thanks for your time and ride safe, don’t be like me!

Have you tried realigning the wheel with the bars? It’s a fairly simple process. Loosen (barely) the pinch bolts on the triple clamp and then adjust the front wheel alignment to the bars (an open garage door can be used to lightly tap the wheel in the desired direction). Once satisfied with the alignment, retorque all of the pinch bolts to factory spec.

Once aligned and tightened, hold the front brake and try to fully compress the forks to ensure that they are moving freely without binding. If you sense any binding you may have a bent forks

I haven’t even heard of this yet! Great advice man I really appreciate that i’m gonna be sure to give this a try tonight once I get off work. Thanks a lot though man, seriously, i have been stressing about this all week!
