I'm a new FZ6 owner (<600 miles so far) and I love the bike. However, I am disappointed about the lack of OEM accessories available to us in the U.S. while Canada and Europe can get all the cool stuff. Anyway, I called the customer relations line today and told them how I felt about this situation. The guy was nice and said he'd pass my comments on. Maybe if enough of us call this will change in the future. (apologies if this has already been mentioned on this forum).

If you are looking for a Canadian dealer who will ship to U.S. you can call Roger at Snow City cycle in Toronto 416-752-1560. I ordered the Yamaha top case and mount from them.

I know Snow City well... bought my first FZ6 there... Curious, why did you get Yamaha's top box instead of a Givi? I got my Givi from Twisted Throttle in the US. I couldn't be happier....

I liked the look and size of the Yamaha case better than any of the Givi models I saw. I was seriously considering a Shad as well but kept going back to the OEM model.

Welcome to the site friend,

Please don't hold your Yamaha breath, a while ago we were trying to get Yamaha to give a solid rational as to why the bike only had one light. Alas Sportsrider & Wrightme43 had no responses.
I do not believe in apathy, give me a contact e-mail for the USA customer services and I will happily jump on the band wagon.

Yeah, I don't expect them to change anything but it made me feel better to complain (ugh, I'm starting to sound like my wife). Anyway, I couldn't find an email address for them on the web site, just a phone number and snail mail address.

Thanks for the link to that top case blantonator, that's the first time I've seen that.

NP, i picked mine up for 155 from ayers. hope you didnt may much more.

and they said, "Whatever..." and hung up the phone right?

I admire your ambition however Yamaha is in the end item business to drive the sale of OEM parts and service, not cool aftermarket goodies. Which is too bad because their GYTR line of parts is very nice. I'd guess part of it is liability issues, etc. Who knows?
