Yes, yes - I know it's not the season, but FinalImpact's post about Thanksgiving - and having friends over, reminded me of grad schoold days when my wife and I more or less adopted a post-doc from Poland and had him come over for just about every holiday. We had many interesting conversations.
Anyway, one time in the summer we had Pavel visit for dinner and we had corn on the cob. Surprising (to us) he held the cob vertically and rotated it on axis while he nibbled. We didn't quite giggle at this approach, but we asked about it and he was adamant (a bit defensive) that that is the way every one he knew eats it.
So, since we have this nice friendly international forum - that for the present time is focused on food - thought I'd take a poll. :thumbup:
