Wot it says on the tin.

I usually give the 'sideways nod' to most riders coming towards me, the 'left fingers up' to riders ahead of me, and the 'foot wave' if they are coming up behind me.

Rocks throwing rocks, its the only way to be sure. LOL

If my left is free I wave the biker wave.
If not a nod. or a clutch in rev the engine to say hi.

i quickly take off my full-face helmet and wink aggressively a few times before we pass each other

This has been posted before, but I prefer the "unique wave"

maybe NSFW (language)

Left handed usually up. New enough to motorcycling that others waving at me brings a smile to my face still. Kind of a novelty, and a cool feeling of fraternity. Noticed that HD riders rarely wave. Probably feeling inferior about their slowness. Read of a comment regarding Sportster riders not waving because they'd be shaken off of it they did.

I've started waving recently rather than nodding, although I always nod if I'm too busy with my hands to wave.

I passed a guy the other day (coming towards me). He lit up his headlight several times & waved furiously. Aye aye, I thought perhaps a cop with a speed camera. I backed right off for a bout 5 miles, before I came to the conclusion that this guy was just really pleased to see me! :D

GConn nice, I usually just throw up the peace sign with my left hand. If I am driving fast I will do the whole left hand down to the side wave.

Left hand down low to the side. As others have said if hand is busy I nod. I've been noticing that most of the Harley guys around here wave. I HATE the Harley guys that think their S**t doesn't stink and won't wave. I've owned 4 Harley's and never thought I was too cool for school. I do know allot of guys that think if you're not riding a Harley then you don't own a bike.

I say ride what ever the hell you want and just have fun and enjoy the journey. I wave at everybody.

I am somewhere between a downward angled peace sign and the one finger angled downward. I get the coolest waves from Harley riders. No helmets, no gear, but great waves!

Here, we call it "point at the center line" wave. Most wave here but it's typically the HD riders that don't. About 50/50 with them.
