i was thinking about making my bike naked this winter but was curious as to how bad the wind is once you remove the upper fairing

Just take off the windscreen and you'll get a pretty good idea pretty easily.

It's odd, I found when I went to a full naked bike that I got less wind at the helmet, but more in the chest which I prefer. So I'd say I'm more comfortable at highway speed on my Triumph than on my FZ.
