Come on now. You should know that wings were born in Buffalo, not NF. Otherwise they'd be called NF wings.

Either way, outside of Western NY, the wings suck.

Tomorrow is 8th October, an important day in the history of Alkmaar as in 1573 they withstood a seige from a far superior Spanish force. The Dutch seperatists had previously only lost to the Spanish, so this was seen as the turning point in the eighty years war (or Dutch war of independance).

In commemoration of the heroic people of Alkmaar the city has a big parade, a fun fair, several free concerts and the kids have a day off school to enjoy these festivities. The whole day ends with a big firework display......

Well it's party time again, October 8th when all alkmaarders (people from Alkmaar) celebrate the victory and generally have a good time :cheer:

1) Birthplace of Elvis Presley. Learned to sing in black part of town called "Shake Rag", bought his 1st guitar in Tupelo Hardware (still in business & owned by same family)

2) 2nd largest furniture manufacturer in US (Highpoint, NC #1)

3) "Machine Gun" Kelly's last bank robbery occured at the Citizen's State Bank in Tupelo in 1932 (got $38k!)

I live in Bucharest, Romania.
A few city highlights here (link). The nightlife is great in Bucharest, for people who are into partying and drinking. The old center is full of clubs, bars and restaurants which are open until the morning...like a nonstop party.

Also, in Romania you can find two of the most dangerous roads in the world: Transfagarasan and Transalpina, which are a favourite destination for all the bikers. What else?..a lot of castles in the center of Romania, in the county named Transylvania (a region best known for the Dracula myth)...beautiful landscapes (Romania has all the forms of relief), great mountains...a nice seaside, lots of lakes....cheap alcohol and lots of very beautiful girls
