Do you have to cut and wires with these? Or is it all straight plug-n-play? I read the Godzilla thread, he mentioned something about low-high beam...but I didn't quite understand :S

Jack.

PS. Still a newbie here :p

it is not a simple plug and play. many of the wires have connects that mate up. but you will have to do some cutting and soldering of some wires. it takes a while. but it is very well worth it.

oh, and about the the wiring to get brights and dims... it makes more since when you're looking at it.

Hey OZ,
Do you have to get a ballast kit for them aswell?
I remember reading somewhere you have to have a ballast for these lights.
The ebay link you have says ballast not included.

Is it possible to mod the bike to take two bixenon H4 projector lamps??

maybe, but it'd be a serious pain in the rump. you'd need a dremel and you'd have to cut away at the reflector. one mistake and you'll be buying a new reflector. it really is easier to just get the two projectors and rewire the "inputs" the the controls connect to. you get brights and dims out of both that way.

I read here somewhere that if you were to do this mod, you're better off removing the reflector since it does really work with the projector lamps. Didn't Gozilla remove his reflectors upon installation?

these projectors fit into the stock reflectors. and you can then use the stock adjustment screws to adjust your hids. some of the early hid guys who used projectors from cars had to take out the reflectors. but with these there is no need to.

now, they don't "use" the reflectors to throw the light. so boneman (and a few others including myself) have painted their reflectors black. but we still have them in.
