I kind of want the gold color for some bling as gold/black just looks sharp.

I emailed the seller and asked if they were same weight as OEM and he said:

I think that means yes. But "similar" could mean Chinese quality and therefore not as heavy. I'm really hesitant to order from Hong Kong; shipping times and return procedures are not trivial.

I'm tempted to paint the OEM bar ends gold with clear coat.

Regarding less vibrations, I read here about folks putting lead weights into the bars and it helped a lot. But that means more weight and not sure the affect on the front suspension responsiveness -- perhaps very small.

Those ones will be really light. There are very few barends heavier than the stock ones except the throttlemaster ones. Any aluminium/alloy ones will be far far lighter.

If you're painting (the best option) don't forget to sand, prime, sand and then paint. I would also use Loctite on the threads when reinstalling too.

Thanks for saving me the trouble on that too. I never made the order since I hate waiting for stuff to arrive overseas and I was a little unsure of the quality.

Ok, I'll sand, prime, sand and then paint. Sounds like a lot of work so it may have to wait when I'm really getting desperate to ride.

Well got my tank bag today. Freakin sweet, I was alwaysed worried about them being to big but this is two bags in one. One that is very thin and flat for short trips the other one has all the bells i would ever need. I bought it from E-bay for 20 bucks and 10 for shipping. So 30 is not to bad. Here is a link to one. Alright adding a something quick to the list.. I've had the mid pipe since I bought the exhaust, but never put it in do to not knowing if I would need a PC3... Well from what i hear it won't effect the bike enough to need a PC3. Do you all concur or should I be looking at getting a PC3 aswell?????????

Nope. You only need a PC3+ if you want to get the very most power out of your system or love tweaking. I installed mine with no issues. Made it louder, less restricted and probably added more power. Just unplug the battery for a few hours to reset the ECU settings and it will run great.
