Hi My name is Roald.... I'm a bikeaholic.. :D
I just got this.... and like it a lot.... except for the clunky transmission ;)
It's a '06 and only 3K on it. It likes to eat the read plate so I'll have to upgrade the eliminator, but other than that it's a sweet ride.

Hey welcome rbva! It's great to have you here, sharp looking ride too. The tranny is only a state of mind. Preload the shifter and BAM! you're in the next gear!

I like the black out on the muffler cover. Sharp.

Visit often and post a lot!

Welcome!!! Congrats on the bike!

As for the FE.... Can you bend it back a bit without compromising the integrity? Also, see what the proviosu owner set the rear shock to. It you're a heavier guy, cracnk the rear preload to 5 or higher (I use 7 at 220 lbs) and that will keep you from bottoming out and catching the plate.

Welcome. I have no clunk issues with my transmission. Are you shifting at high enough rpm's? Have you checked your chain slack?

Hope you love your bike as much as we love ours!

Nice Bike!!

My transmission isn't very smooth either. I am still on my break in period so maybe it will subside soon...

Enjoy it!

Thanks for the tips and all the welcomes, I ended up making a new FE and
it's working well.
I think the previous owner had his mounted too far forward on the bike
making it an easy target for the back wheel.... of course my fat butt didn't
help ;-)
Its still a bit clunky (shifting) but I think I'm just getting used the new clutch
and throttle weight, because my shifting is smoothing out a bit... man this
thing is fun to ride.

Here's how it looks with the new fender eliminator I made:
