Hello all,

Been lurking and reading for a month or so now and I thought it was time to say hi. I must say the site is full of great information and I am enjoying reading all the great FZ6 information; as well as all the other generalized information.

Have a great day and enjoy.

Thanks all. I currently have an '08 FZ6. The latest and greatest of a long line of rides over the years, having started with a kz125 back in the 70's; now that was a beast...lol. I'll get some pic's up in a week or so as I am currently out of town for work.

Be well and enjoy.

These days I do mostly street riding. I tend to ride commuting some, but would rather head out of town and hit the Mountians around Asheville, N.C. as I live in the Charlotte area. Driving around here is an excercise in ultra defensive driving focused primarily on trying to ensure you have plenty of space, ie: space cushion driving.

I typically hit deals gap about once every 3 months just because it is a fun ride to get there (about 6 hours from my house at a fun pace). I also wander the Blue Ridge Parkway from SC-GA to NC-VA lote and of course all of the twistie state highways in between..lol. Fast Twisties and big smiles are my weekend state of mind these days :-) .

Since I have been divorced 8 years now and my kids are all teenagers I can come and go as I please pretty much during the 50% of the time the kids are with their Mom. I have been introducing my Oldest (19 yrs) to my "real" riding style now that he is older and his Mom can't fuss at me about it like she can with the two that are under 18. He is coming a long well, wont be long and I'll have to get a seconds bike as he'll be on the FZ. But he isn't ready for it quite yet as he has only been riding about 4 months and it is not a starter bike in my opinion. Caught him testing out my Icon knee pads the other day, so he is getting the itch I think...lol.

Have fun and enjoy,
Mike
