Please tell me your method to improve hay fever in your country for rider. March is one of heviest season for me and, can't rely on any medicine in riding because becoming little sleepy.

:o

I have allergies bad at times. I don't take any meds before a ride because i don't wanna get drowsy. So I throw a bandana around my face, so when i sneeze I don't plaster the inside of my shield. :Sport:

Try the nose steriods, no your nose will not get bigger. I use Nasonex, it works really well for me. There are a couple of other brands too. They will not make you sleepy at all.

We have really bad pollen in the winter, Cedar Fever. The pollen will get so bad at times that the weather radar can pick up the waves of pollen being blown through the air!

keep searching until you find drugs that don't make you sleepy. For me, Clariton (loratadine 10 mg) works well. Also, Opcon A eye drops keep the ichy eyes away. Allegra also worked well for me. There are several out there that should not make you drowsy. As with anything new, try it out a few times before you use it on the bike.

I take one drixoral tab every day to keep my allergies at bay. Seems to work pretty good, although about 2 weeks a year in october i get allergies bad. All i can really do is tuff it out and go ride, as long as im moving they dont seem to be that bad.

Try getting honey from local bees. The pollen gets in the honey and when you eat it your body builds up antibodies and gets an immunity to the pollen. It does take a few weeks to work. I have been allergy free for several years using this method. Just a tablespoon a week or so and you will se results in a few weeks.

ZYRTEC FTW!!

I used to take Zyrtec for years until my health insurance stopped paying and it would have cost me $150/month. Just a few months ago it went OTC and I nearly cried tears of joy. I have year-round allergies (pollen, dust, my 2 cats, etc) and I haven't felt this good in years! And it doesn't make you drowsy either.

Wao! Thank you so much! Tons of good ideas! Espescially, I'm interested in using honey.

What kind of pollen allegy is serious in your country? In Japan these are major; Japanese Cedar and Cypress chrysanthemum. Also, "yellow wind" from desert in China is serious. Colour of My car become orange from red.
