About to fire up the barby and throw some meat in there. Not going the traditional Lamb, got a big leg of pork so that will do ... (I know, how UN-Australian, but I prefer pork anyway...lol).

For the Adelaide Fizzers, make sure you use the sunscreen if you're heading to the cricket, it's a beautiful day but the UV has got a bite you don't want to feel :thumbup:

Had a great ride today - 200kms - rode out through Chittering, Toodyay and Bindoon. No wind and an absolutely stunning day. Got home at 10:55 am - 5 minutes before the ODI started :rockon: Couldn't have timed it better :steve:

Then, lamb burgers on the barbie this afternoon - how Aussie is that :aus::aus::aus:

Used to have a shck up the coast at Jurien Bay which was about 10 metres from the water and would catch our crayfish bring em back , boil em up then have cray sangas. Man they were good days

Eating Crayfish, that is straight out of the water, whilst drinking a Ice cold Beer, with a few decent mates on a sensational summer evening, is pretty much as good as life gets...

Could'nt agree more. Unfortuately the local council decided to bulldoze all the shacks up there about 10 years ago, so now i don't really eat crays anymore as they just don't have the same appeal

Pity we dont have more time...it's Cray season at Robe right now...a quick detour to Robe for a feed of Crayfish at the Beach, with some coldies from the local Bottlo, could be a nice distraction...

Actually, maybe we do have time, on the way home...Robe is sorta on the way, going the GOR way...

consider it included in our itinerary for Tassie trip!!!

I really miss the shacks too. Bloody council bulldozed them so they could "develop" the area. 10 years later, nothing done. And they would have lost a lot of $$$$ in Jurien too - the amount of beer, ice, petrol and other supplies we'd all head into town for.

They mostly went for boys weekends, but occasionally, Mike would take me - solar shower outside and only 2 other shacks in the bay - fantastic :thumbup:

As for the whole scenario, that is a part of Australian life that is dissapearing...the whole shack thing....sad, it was a big part of my family's life as well...
