Handle bar clamp question

I noticed after I took the bars off, when reinstalling the clamps have a little arrow on each clamp. Are those supposed to point toward the front of the bike?

I assume so but I just thought I would ask to make sure.

On my bike they point towards the front, hope this helps mate

Yup, definitely towards the front. Also, you want to torque 2 front bolts first to 17 foot pounds. After that, torque the 2 rear bolts to 17 foot pounds.
