Givi E21 Side Cases

I would like to get some sidecases for the bike. I am leaning toward the Givi E21s. What is your opinion of that choice? I don't need a lot of room.

Do I have to modify the turn signals?

How easy is installation?

Can you show a pic of your bike if you have these cases?

Personally I would go with the V35 PLX cases. I know they are much more expensive, but they look so much nicer. Yes, you will have to re-locate the turn signals. The side racks will need the top rack fitted first as well (or I believe, there is something they sell in separately in order to fit the side racks without using the top rack)....

i've settled on the E21's myself and will be ordering them next week. from my understanding you do need to relocate the signals but the rack comes with the hardware you need. some folks have bought aftermarket signal stalks for different look. there are some good pic's on twisted throttle's site of a fz6 with the E21's.

I don’t know about the E21's but I installed the V35's a couple of weeks ago and really like how easy they are to use. I would think the E21's would be just as useful but without the extra space.

The givi racks came with the hardware to relocate the turn signals. The instructions are not the best but the installation only took about 2.5 hrs.
You can install the side racks without the top rack using the 351 kit. I used the plx360 racks for my 07. I believe the pre 07's use the plx 351 racks.

GPWanabe, those cases look great. Is there enough room for a passenger with the side cases installed, and is it comfortable for them? ie do the cases get in the way at all?

I have not ridden with a passenger but I slid back onto the passenger seat and was able to get the arches of my feet or heels on the pegs. With the arches on the pegs my heels were touching the front of the bags. I don't know if it would be comfortable on a ride or not.

I have KAPPA boxes on mine and my girlfriend says they do not get in the way of her feet.

I have just ordered HEPCO & BECKER passenger footpeg extentions as we are riding from denmark to France in july and I want to make sure she is as comfortable as possible.

I'm one of the ones that bought the top rack not knowing that it wasn't needed to use the side bags.
