What would you do? One of my husbands friends (who likes to stir up chit) has been on Jim about "his" ooops I mean "Steph's" new bike. I am getting really sick and tired of this guy saying that my husband pushed me into getting this bike. He had NOTHING to do with it. I was actually wandering around with another gent (a motorcycle trainer) when I found and sat on the bike. I fell in love with everything about it. I had a deal worked out with the salesman before Jim even saw the bike. (of course no papers were signed, I obviously would talk to Jim before that)
If I were a man with 4 years experience on a bike, no one would say a thing about me getting a GSX1300R. But because I am female and the name on the bike is Hayabusa, people assume that my husband is getting the bike and just "calling it" mine. Quite frankly, Jim doesn't fit to well on this bike. He is a big guy and he doesn't find the ergos fit him right. It is very uncomfortable for his shape. He wanted me to buy a Ducati Monster 1100S.
Am I being too sensitive and shouldn't let this bother me? Or am I right to be pissed and insulted that someone would say that I would actually get a bike just because Jim wanted one in the stable.
I'll probably regret posting this vent in the morning, but I am curious as to what you guys think. Do you feel the same way as this guy? Or would you be insulted as well?

And I live next to a graveyard.... he wouldn't be missed!

Just laugh the guy off and tell him, come riding with us and see who's on the Busa! Arsehole!!!! :D

just let it go. dont waist ur time with people like that. as long as you know the truth who cares? but if you did a hole burn the shovle and all of your clothes and shoes. i watch CSI.

don't let it get under your skin too much! There are many women out there that ride busa's and R1's etc.... Just look at it this way you guys know the truth and thats really all that matters!

I know a couple here who ride twin Busa bikes. She does fabulous on it! And, she'd shorter than you.

Stalk him, then when he gets on his bike, drive up next to him and act like a wild woman and burn him in front of all his friends (if he has any) Problem Solved.

Any woman who rides a Busa doesn't need to explain anything.

Why not let you husband set HIS friend straight on the facts. I would think he would get tired of getting crap from the guy.

Sounds to me like he is jealous cause he doesn't have the balls to ride a busa or admit it scares him to go fast. Screw the rebel 250, he needs a moped! Hell, I will admit, that bike scares the crap out of me. But the new white is PURDY!!

Get comfy on your new bike.....Then dust his 455 bigtime:spank:...lol....Then tell him you're more of a man than he'll ever be:Flip:...LMAO. If that doesn't shut him up I don't know what will.

(Oh and don't worry. We've all seen your pic and know your a girl...lol.)

Cheers
Mike

Jealousy is a cruel mistress, if thats all the guy has to worry about then he has nothing to worry about.
On the other hand if he is a true friend, thank him for his concern. Reassure him that you are a responsible, skilled rider. Then, as a friend tell him to STFU.

Dont let it bother you Steph. It was the bike you wanted and you feel comfortable riding it,your husband is happy and obviously knows you are more than capable to ride it.As soon as the weather allows go out and enjoy. :D

He has a point, take it back now...

...and get a blue one, or a white one. :D

if he really is the type of guy that just likes to stir things up then he is probably just trying to get a rise out of you, and by the sounds of it, it is working... Just have Jim say that he wouldn't be caught dead on that thing in front of him, then he will feel like an arse mentioning it if he thinks that Jim hates it.
