Hello all,
i bought beautiful used rear shock absorber, but i have a problem with disassemble the old one with my fz6

The COLLAR, part number 8 on the pictures won`t go out, out of the SWING ARM holes and it`s stuck inside.

I wanted to know if someone encountered this issue before and if they do, how it was solved

Had the same problem when replacing my rear shock with a modified R1 rear shock.

After trying several ways to free up the stuck collar, the solution was using a penetrating oil like WD40 and heating up the collar with a propane torch. Put a little pressure on the collar with a screwdriver or locking pliers, apply heat to the collar, not the swingarm itself. Took just a few minutes after fighting with other methods for a while

Good luck
