Fz6r bars installed with pics

Just finished installing a set of fz6r bars which I purchased from MRcycles.com. They cost $58 shipped. The whole install took about an hour. As you can see from the pictures the new bars have a slightly less severe angle but maintain the same height as the stock bars. It also came pre drilled with the hole for the throttle housing.

I also installed a set of throttle Meister heavy bar ends. I have not had a chance to really ride it as I'm waiting for my Spencer seat to come tomorrow, but I will give further updates as I put more miles on it.

Keep us posted on how well the cruise control works too!! I liked the fz6r bars but when i lowered my seat with a spencer mod the bars were too high so i went with the fz1 bars.

How tall are you? Inseam? I had Spencer's lower my seat too. I hope that won't be the case.

you might like the taller position of the bars after the low seat. more upright.

So the bars feel good even with the seat lowered an inch. Much less strain on the wrists.

The throttle meister works just as advertised. It did take a bit to get the adjustment just right so it would hold when activated but also allow the throttle to return unimpeded when off. They include different sized washers to adjust how close it is to the grip therefore adjusting the pressure. Also, the heavier weight definitely reduced the amount of vibrations.

I was originally worried about how complicated it is to use, but it is rather simple and easy. Even with it fully locked, you can force the throttle closed in case of emergency.
