Help Please with these carb's from a 1988 FZ600

carbs.jpg

I've taken them off for two reasons:

A) To Clean Them

B) To Try and Fit the air box which does not fit aahhhh

My Problem is pipes1 and 3.I don't remember disconnecting them!!!
i don't think they are part of the vacuum system???
pipe 2 is fuel feed I'm sure.Where do they fit???

I'm 99% sure these are not FZ600 Carbs!!The only numbers i can find are on the front of the butterflies 140 stamped on them.Anyone know what they are off???

Regards Sniff

Sorry man, no idea whatsoever. You can bet however that if you don't get some help on this board there is none to be had! Good luck!

Pipe 1 and 3 are the float bowl vents. The other end should be open to the air.

So, route the hoses so that they don't get in the way, and that they first rise up a bit, and then aim down and end below the carbs, pointing down. That way they will vent, but not allow water or condensation into these areas.

Fred

P.S. Pipe 2, as you've guessed, is the fuel line.

Thanks for this post, I had someone else take my bike apart and I am having to put it back together... I am missing some pieces and this image along with the explanation of the tubes helps me put the carbs back in... :D
Thanks again!
