FZ6 footpegs don't fit - ideas?

bought these on ebay

Brand New Black Motorcycle Rear Footrest Foot Pegs for Yamaha FZ6 FZ6R XJR400 | eBay

The "bolt" provided doesn't fit through the hangar but fits through the peg. Their product selection guide said it would fit my 2008 yamaha fz6.

I was planning on going on a ride this weekend with the girlfriend and I am determined to make this work.

Any ideas on what to do here guys?

How much bigger is the bolt to the hole?

Sounds like you need to reduce the diameter of the bolt (sanding or lathe?) or increase the diameter of the hole (drill).
If possible I would work on the bolt.

Maybe i am stating the obvious, but these are the passenger footpegs, are you trying to fit them as passenger or rider footpegs? they are not exchangeable i think.

They are passenger footpegs being mounted to the rear passenger bracket.

I ran to Lowe's and grabbed an 8mm bolt and a stop-nut. That will do for my ride with the girl tomorrow and then I will return them. They said they fit...they LIEEEE.

may be worth just drilling the holes out a touch to get the bolt in there.

I mistyped - I did use m6 bolts! Workin like a champ so far.
