Thanks for the eBay info but that a 07 and the photo looks different I think I'll just pay the extra if need be and get the correct part do if it's wrong I can return it witch is less to be the case with eBay but good idea. Thanks

Well after the tear down look like the stay and a side hinge will need to be replaced still.

Also did the dual light mod and it was easy and quick.

Maybe this will help. Here is a pic of what you have to work with (08 version shown) Remove the inner fairings and get at those 2 12mm bolts at the steering head and it comes off in the about 5 minutes.

Unbolt the stuff from the plastic and bend it back! OR take your gas tank off and have someone hold the bike and give it some love! With the tank our of the way it won't get scratched by moving the fairing with a little muscle. What ever you choose to do to straighten it, pull it off as shown here and inspect the welds and plastic for cracks and other damage.
