FZ6: Aux fuel supply?

Does the FZ6 have an auxiliary fuel tank? My CB750 has a fuel pet-c-o-c-k with three positions: Main, aux, off. The aux fuel supply has saved me a couple times and I didn't see anything listed in the FZ6 owner's manual about it. (I don't have a FZ6 yet, but I'm considering one in the upcoming year or so and I'm trying to learn everything I can about them first).

Also, is the fuel shutoff automatic on these? (no pet-c-o-c-k)

It's got an aux or a reserve in the sense that the display will switch the trip or odometer to fuel mode. It does this when you hit the last 3 liters (which is about a gallon I think). The fuel mode display shows the miles travelled from the point you hit the last 3 liters. With normal driving the aux should get me about 55 km (about 34 miles). After refueling you can reset the display manually or it will switch automatically after riding a couple of miles. This info is also in the manual.

Since it's fuel injected, and it has a fuel pump, there's no switch or anything.

I'm pretty sure there's no aux or backup.

nope, no aux, but the fuel gauge will indicate when you are getting empty.

I prefer the blue, myself. It isn't so much an issue of having the money to buy one, as it is prioritizing where the money has to be spent.

Where did THAT blue come from? looks different than the 2 blues in the US. Also, silver frame and rims on the 07+ looks strange to me

It's one of the colours of the 2009 FZ6 Fazer S2 ABS on offer in our little kingdom of the Netherlands ;-)

It's called Power blue. Other choices are autumn orange or midnight black. I'll have to check out the US colours....

Isn't "aux" merely reserve?

When i fill up after getting the reserve flashing, i usually only put 15l in, so from a 19,4l tank, that's still leaves 4.5 litres, and 20km/l, that's alnmost 100km, quite a lot of reserve.

Takes my range to a theoretical 400km.
