With all of the FZ1 talk, I couldn't resist looking up some numbers, here they are for what it's worth:

Quarter mile: 10.55 sec. @130...................11.30 sec. @ 119.42
0-60mph: 3.01 sec....................................3.44 sec.
0-100mph: 6.48sec..................................7.87 sec.
60-0 mph: 111.1 ft..................................116.5 ft
Redline: 11,500 rpm.................................14,000 rpm
Power to weight ratio: 1 to 4.10..................1 to 5.36

Fuel mileage: 35.0 mpg................................40.0 mpg
Wet Weight: 485 lbs....................................459 lbs

EDIT:These numbers are averages, they may vary from bike to bike, yes some stock FZ6's go faster than 130 mph, and yes, I get better mileage than 40 mpg, I'm sure FZ1inNH gets better than 35 mpg.

63.1 NM = 46.53 ft lbs

I guess that's about right, most I've seen dynoed put down 40 ft lbs at the wheel.

Interested in this also as might be taking the FZ1 plunge in a few months as well.

Is there any difference between an 07 and 09 FZ1. Found a new 07 for $7700.

I dunno, but my 2004 FZ6 with Laser Quad exhaust gets a LOT better than 40MPG. I seem to average around 45MPG with the normal riding that I do. I wonder what the actual observed mileage of an FZ1 is.

My observed MPG is 38.05 thus far on the FZ1. That's a few tanks of cruising and a few tanks of more "socially spirted" riding once the beast was fully broke in. My worst tank was 31 MPG and the best was 42 MPG. I do more commuting and touring type of rides than aggressive. We don't have great twisties here. We have a high police presence in NH. We have heavy volumes of traffic especially on weekends when all of MA migrates to NH on Fridays.

To answer Bill3508? The '06+ models are all the same. The '06 had some issues with the fuel cutoff but Yamaha fixed this for the '07 and up model years.

And I average('08) 35-38 mpg......so our combined average is about 40mpg! :D

Thanks for the FZ1 mileage info. I was curious what people were seeing on the FZ1, especially since I recall it has a smaller tank than the FZ6.

Sometimes it just more than numbers,is the "feel" of the bike.I get a chance to rode my friend's FZ1.At moment,it really makes me regret buying my FZS2.
Is the bloodly low end torque that really turn me on.:D
