Put on a set of FZ1 bars today. Took a short ride and they feel very different from my old bars. I'll take a longer ride tomorrow and see how I like them.

Wasn't hard at all. Just remember that the handgrips are glued on. You will need to drill one hole in the bars where the throttle fits to the bar.

It looks like you rotated the switch boxes?
I like them straight on, like they are. But, if they have to be rotated, so be it.
I'm picking up my FZ1 bars tomorrow, along with new bar ends and gel grips. If this mod doesn't relieve my wrist pain and cramping, then this new bike is gonzo and I'm going to go back to cruisers forever. Third sportbike that hasn't worked out for me. I love them in heart, but my body isn't following. I'm finally taking the hint if this doesn't work.

Oh, were there any clearance issues with the tank & controls? Did you have to do anything with the brake reservoir?

I put them down a bit since I took the picture. Just left enough room so that they don't hit the tank when I go lock to lock.

I bought a pair of bars from a small comp in ohio they were 1" lower and 2" forward of the stock bars and they look pretty cool too.

the bars in the pi cure, that's how they came, like......it goes from the bar-ends to the return, down 2 inch's, then straight across then it meets in the middle. The only reason i am asking is, the way your set up is is what I want!!!

these bars are stainless steel and come only brushed.I powder coat for a living so I painted them. I can give you the web site if you want. They are about 200. I realy like the riding position. Not to high and not to low.

I have a set for sale. The original price I paid was 165.00. They are your's for 50.00 plus about 5.00 shipping.
