06 yamaha fz6 err..1 /speedo/temp flashing problem

Help please
Newby here!..my 06 fz6 first ride out everything ok for about 3miles then opened her up on dual carriageway and noticed speedo had frozen at 111 mph temp readout flashing and err..1 showing
Took her home ( safest bet!!)..switched bike off restarted readout normal temp ok
No fault codes ..left running to see if any temp problems..nothing
Checked fan to see if it came on but it didn’t rotated fan by hand seemed initially a bit tight but rotated .. can anyone shed any light on this ?..will check coolant level today ..should fan have come on when I have if I remember correctly about 3 bars on readout ?..thanks

Err 01 is a fault code. It points to the TPS:

Throttle position sensor-open or short circuit detected
- Open or short circuit in wiring sub lead.
- Open or short circuit in wiring harness.
- Defective throttle position sensor.
- Malfunction in ECU.
- Improperly installed throttle position sensor.

A stuck throttle position sensor is detected
- Stuck throttle position sensor.
- Malfunction in ECU.

Since the problem seems to be intermittent I would suspect some corrosion at one of the connectors in the wiring harness.

Thanks Gary ..Will check tps ..one thing I have noticed is a lot of play in throttle before it opens the throttle ..got a Haynes manual on its way and I will look at setting up throttle as well as what readings I should be getting from throttle sensor ..

TPS checked ..reading min closed throttle 0.6k to 2.7k open throttle smooth through range ..max res 3.2k across pot
Haynes says 4-6 k range min -max throttle for tps which doesn’t make sense?
Anyway cleared historical codes which didn’t include tps just12/22/30 .. 12 is crank sensor which I will check wiring but suspect that wasn’t my issue as bike shouldn’t have run with that code
22 air intake temp sensor /30 tip over sensor not that as fuel pump running ok
Now Checking all conns and associated eng management wiring ..
