i have always wondered do the lower fairings serve any wind deflection purpose or is it essentially all for looks???
My Wife's SV650 has the lower fairings and it is a noticeable difference as far as wind deflection.
Good luck with the install, and i look forward to the pictures.

Sorry to hi-jack thread but.....my bike is naked and I'd love it to look like Havblues bike...
So what exactly will I need and where's best to get it from? (bearing in mind I'm in the UK).
Do I need a different light etc
Or if someone can point me in the direction of a suitable thread.........

I would say your best bet would be to post in the for sale section and maybe a member from the states who wants to go naked will trade parts with you then you will just end up paying shipping

To me they just feel decorative, but thats more what I was after them for in the first place.
