I have had the 15T conversion for about six months. In the last few weeks I have noticed a clicking / grinding noise when pulling away. It's like the chain is jumping a tooth. I have re-adjusted the chain and checked the alignment and run out (all within spec). The noise goes away for a short while and then comes back. I have 9200 miles on the chain and sprockets which I reckon is about 1/3rd into there service life. I clean and oil my chain regularly.

I decided to go back to stock to see if there is any change.
trouble is I can't remember what the stock Speedo healer setting is.

Based on GPS readings at 60mph, I set mine to -9.1%, and it's about spot on.

I could remember it was 9 something. I have set it to -9.5, I will change it tomorrow to -9.1.

Hey nelly, i have the 15/48 and have the scorpion, K&N, with the full air box mod and when i did the switch it told me to go to -14.8%. hope that helps buddy.

Here's my little addition to this post:

I just did this mod and it was super easy to do. It took about an hour with an oil change. From reading other posts, I decided to rent an electric impact gun. WELL well worth the $15. No 2x4 through the rim, no breaker bar, etc.

I did the sprocket change with the oil filter off. There is a long of gunk under the cover, so make sure you cover the opening where the filter goes very well with foil before you even touch the sprocket cover. Here is a photo with the sprocket cover off, and foil around where the filter goes.



I removed the sprocket nut with the impact gun. The sprocket nut is 30mm by the way. After removal of the sprocket nut, I gave the chain as much slack as possible, then wiggled the sprocket off.



This is definitely a job for latex gloves if you have them.



It's not required, but having a 2 1/2 year old in a ballet outfit around helps makes the job easier.



To put the new sprocket on, just reverse the order. I used blue loctite and torqued to the recommended 65ft-lb with a torque wrench. Put the cover on, finish the oil change, adjust the chain, check the alignment, and you're done!
