Very appropriate song :D

Could also have:

Everybody hurts - REM
The head on the door - The Cure
Mmm Mmm... - Crash Test Dummies
Stop! In the name of love - The Supremes
Always crashing in the same car - David Bowie
As the rush comes - Motorcycle
Accidents will happen - Elvis Costello
Ow ow ow - Barrence Whitfield and The Savages

Can't think of any more. Glad you are OK though

I was driving somewhere 80 kmph, managed to slow down to 50-60. He turned very quick. no time. Than at 1 millisecond i thought that the door - very soft spot and there is no escape..so..door..hit
then i remember iam lying at ground and listening ipod )

So..thank God there were no serious injuries
broken knee. not bone, but skin damaged strongly (not clothed protection in that day on knees..will be a lesson for me)
helmet broken -_- Lazer vertrigo..cracked down, under the visor
and little crack in the elbow, thanks protection!

Good Skillz

Last thing going through my mind, would be 'whats the softest part of a Russian truck to hit'! :D

Mate, you are gonna love the TB's when you get 'em. They've got just just the attitude your new look bike's gonna deserve.

ViLKaa, were you able to find out if Crazy Iron would ship the engine guards abroad? I had the same reaction as everyone else...I really like those. They mount much farther back than other guards and, like Geoff, my first reaction was "I bet you could use those with a belly pan". :D

The bike looks great and I agree with everyone else that it's amazing that you made it through that crash! And now a bunch of us envy you for having the coolest engine guard around!

Oh, and for everyone else, I checked the price of the engine guards now on Crazy Iron's website (after using Google Translator for a rough translation)...$176. Not bad at all. Of course, shipping from the other side of the globe might be close to that much! LOL.

After some more reading, I'm really leaning towards an engine guard. (this particular one). Do they ship to US (and/or Australia)

I haven't heard of anyone from here getting one, but here's their site....

CRAZY IRON ...

You'll need to translate. I'm pretty sure I saw an email addy...maybe shoot 'em an email and see. The one for the FZ1 is only $168 AU.

Here's another...probably a lot simpler...

I want those engine bars too....

Looking at the pics, reading the stories, the last line of the Boney M song "Rasputin" comes to mind...

"ohhh.... those Russians...."

This is a great thread BTW.

I hope Google Translate won't drop me in the merde here.....

С Новым годом!

I just sent an e-mail to Crazy Iron about the crash bar and shipping to the US. I will keep you guys updated on their reply. I do have big feet (US size 12) but I am hoping the OSO2K setback plates will move my feet far enough away from it.
