First road trip

Hi lads,

i got my first long journey out of the way since i got the FZ6, Kildare to Killarney, might need to invest in a touring seat or preparation H next time.

Great maiden voyage. Consider trying a pair of padded bicycle shorts for comfort and circulation.

Hey, I just got home from my longest trip ever, too.

Agree my biggest problem is seat comfort on long stretches. I've got an Airhawk pad that I throw on for long (non-sporty) highway stretches, which helps a lot. Then limiting is just getting cramped knees, sore back and exhausted.

1300 miles or so in 3 days. I think 400/day is maintainable for me, but I did 600 on the 2nd day and that pretty much ruined me.

Any day over 400 is a good day. Stand up once in a while, stop and stretch you legs and stay hydrated helps a lot.

OR

Buy a Goldwing and 600 mile days are cake. Blah
