I just got a 2005 FZ6, 8000 miles for $4200 with SS Scorpions.

I have read through alot of the Mods. :Lurking:

Which Mods should i start with ?

I am thinking first do the Airbox and Dual headlights.

Suggestions are appreciated. :Sport:

My first mod was the frame sliders. They can potentialy save you lots of money and anguish if (God forbid) the bike tips over. The Puig windscreen was the easiest mod for me to install. BikerDude's Dual headlamp is awesome and like others have suggested before - Yamaha should of made the harness so that both low-beam headlamps turn on. I am very pleased with the dual headlamp mod. You can do lots with your bike. Enjoy. I'd like to finally get to do my FE kit mod, followed by pazzo shift/break levers, and scorpion exhausts. I have about $1000 more to pay off my bike - first things first.
P.S.

How do you guys like having the K&N air filter. Any noticeable perfomance gains?

I agree with Nimzo, frame sliders and headlight mod are good for whatever you want to do (except go naked). After that it depends on what road you want to take... race, trailer queen, street bike. Most guys say you will need a Power Commander if you go airbox and pipes but only a dyno w/sniffer will tell for sure.

I did the sprocket mod first because it makes the biggest performance improvement with the least amount of money and effort.

The sliders are always a good idea.

I dislike the orange indicators on cars and bikes. So, it is usually the first thing I change, either LEDs or different covers.

+1 on sliders and dual headlight.

I think the question is what would YOU like to change or improve on your FZ? Only you can answer that question.

my first mod was the HID low beam, on my to do list is: sliders, exhaust, Pazzo levers, FE kit, shorty front blinkers, Puig windscreen, PC III, rim stripes, sticker removal, tank protector, K&N Air filter, Synthetic Oil, tank camera mount, Sprockets, full Lower fairings... That should get you started on the bike...

Try to do a track day to upgrade yourself too, it will make the bike perform much much better...
