dual headlight mod. from bd43

bd43's headlight mod was great, I went ot a honda dealer and dug through some old warranty wiring harness and found the pins needed and bought an H4 socket for the bulb dremeled the connectors to fit the oem connector and installed it , This mod is fantastic the wires in the bike are there peopl use it !!!!!!!So other will be able to see you better without using the highbeams all the time, I will be posting pics soon, If anyone needs the harness let me know and i can build them for you for a small fee and get it to ya somehow, Let me know you wont be dissapointed :rockon::Flash::Flash::Flash::cheer::cheer:

You won't be dissapointed it is an easy mod, a little hint, spray some silicone spray on air box intake rubber tubes to make sure it seats correctly!

I looked everywhere, even online.

So I just took my dremel and filed down the prong on the bulb to fit the blade connector you can get at the auto store and fitted it into the connector housing on the harness.

What tip did you use on the dremel? Can you bend the connector?

I used a 1/4" and widened it with a screw driver.

I just went back to the service counter and they gave me a couple connectors no charge, the parts counter wanted to order them for a small fee. The mod works great, go for it, just take your time and follow BD43's instructions. Doc

I bought the H4 connector from NAPA auto parts and pulled the flag connectors out and ground them dwn to fit with a Dremel, It worked Great the XConnector was about $8.00 dollars cdn. I used two of the three flag connectors and did my wifes bike aswell!!!!

I just installed the harness provided by BD43 and the quality was top notch. He provides the harness, connectors, sleeved and sealed at both ends and the whole thing is wrapped in an extra layer of electrical tape. The connectors snapped right in the existing plugs and voila, no more "dead" eye. The money I paid for the harness was nothing compared to the time it saved me. I enthusiastically endorse the harness available from BD43. And BD43, if you are reading this, thanks again! :thumbup:
