It's been 7 months since I have last ridden my FZ6 S2 '2009, and the battery was all dead. I quickly tired trying to kick start it, so decided to jump start it off my car. I unscrewed the tank and "rotated" it to get access to the battery, jump started the bike, let the engine heat properly, it all was fine. When I was closing my car's hood I accidentally touched the tank and it fell off and hung on the hoses and wires. I quickly tried to lift it back but in 2-3 seconds the engine died. Now it doesn't start (not a single "cough"), although from the first glance nothing was damaged. The tank is connected by:
- fuel hose (looks fine)
- drain hose (looks fine)
- breath hose (looks fine, it's not connected anywhere anyway)
- fuel level sensor (works ok, reacts properly when detached)
- fuel pump connector (fuel pump "sounds" ok when the key is turned to "on", reacts properly when detached)
What would you guys suggest to start from? I understand the basics (check if the fuel is there, check if there is a spark) but not particularly sure how to start? Remove the fuel hose from the fuel ramp, turn on the ignition and watch the fuel being pumped? What if it does?
Can it be that the air went to the system somehow when the tank was hanging upright and the pump couldn't get any fuel at all?
