Does anybody else have the problem that when you come out of a turn it is just so hard not to twist the throttle really hard on the FZ6. I went on a ride today and I found myself having a hard time not to just hammer on the throttle everytime i got the chance.

It is just a great feeling on this bike. When you come out of a corner or hit that sweet 8k rpm it just seems like the bike is asking you to just hammer on it.

Ahhh...Grasshopper...if you can whack the throttle 100% IN THE POWERBAND, you know you just jacked the corner up. Once you apex the corner, you should begin slowly dialing the throttle as you exit the corner. IF your are in the powerband, 8,000 to 8,500, you will not be able to whack the throttle at apex, reason being you WILL lose rear wheel traction. Dial it in, slowly and very, very early. If you can whack it, you waited too long and lost a butt load of time in the corner.

With practice you will be able to stear the bike with the throttle and pivot on your knee mid-corner. It takes time to get there but once you do its freaking GREAT!

So until then, get on the gas earlier, slower and easier and you will get much faster!

Well, I don't whack the throttle, but I do roll the throttle at the apex as Pete said above and am back up to speed before exiting the corner. This bike has a bit too much under the tank to be anything less than precise or else trouble will come your way. :D

If i know the area and decide to take the twistiest i will roll in the right gear shift my body (ASS) into the turn, as i Am coming out if it that's when i let it rip. BUT. If i don't know the area i go cautiously and to me laying the knee or almost putting that knee down is a unreal sensation.
