I was considering getting the Clear Alternatives LED tail light, but I was concerned about the visibility of the light in direct sunlight. I tried an LED bulb but returned it, it wasn't bright enough to be safe. Ended up getting a 6" oval 40 LED trailer light from a truck stop. I removed the center section of the PCB (including 8 LEDs) and made a few connections between the two sides. Here's the end result. Pictures taken in direct light on purpose :)

Also in those pics is the M4 exhaust, tucked back under the tail an additional 1", that's why the badges are gone.

Nicely done!

How did you tuck the exhaust back?

I'm guessing cutting the link pipe a couple of inches?
Looked at mine the other day, with a view to doing it,as the scorps are pretty stubby as it is,it just seems the link that is quite long.

Nice pic! I didn't take any photos when I had the bike disassembled. That was where I made my first cuts.

I cut some off the other end of the y-pipe when I decided that .5" wasn't far enough. I also welded a plate into the middle of the y so that both mufflers get exhaust.
