correct oil filter ?

I have a '08 myself and use a K&N filter #204. It's a few more bucks but it has a nut welded on the end for easy removal. My oil change was a breeze that avoided the dreaded screwdriver pounded through the filter method.
The foil over the pipes was a neat tip too!
Good luck and enjoy the ride.
The foil over the pipes is just enginious. I've never got a drop of oil on my pipes using it.

Ive used the Pureone PL14610 and Mobile1 M110. I've thought about changing to the K&N for the nut for easy removal but with the grippy grainy coating they put on the Pureones, I've never had a problem with my cap-style filter wrench slipping.

I use the PureOne filters on my GTO, have for years and they are great filters.

Does anyone have a pic of that bright yellow bad boy on a blue or red bike? I think it may stand out a bit....

I use a WIX filter. After lots of research was going to go with a Pureone but did not want a blue filter. Suppose I could have painted it but the WIX is black and is also a very good filter, better than OEM.

These will all fit.

WIX 51358 - Height: 2.782
Wix 51356 - Height: 3.402
WIX 51365 - Height: 2.577

The WIX is an excellent filter due to the way it is constructed.
