This thread is to link to cool and maybe not so cool advertised bikes.

Here's three to begin with all Yamaha and all bikes I'd consider buying, ironically I've ridden all three of this type on the track too! :D

I love Yamahas, the world is right when I'm on one.

Reverse Cylinder TZ250 (okay so I rode a '78 not an '86, is that close?)

Yamaha:eBay Motors (item 280396268772 end time Sep-19-09 09:00:00 PDT)

New RZ350 with 159kms!

Yamaha : RZ-350:eBay Motors (item 130329872631 end time Sep-15-09 16:51:33 PDT)

Bone stock, super clean FZR400

So this person finished the mods, parked it in their driveway, made the little frame around it with the thumbs and forefingers, and said..... "perfect".

did you notice the placement of the mirrors?

1990 Ducati 851/888 Pro Italia Motors Superbike
Vehicle Description

Many of you in the San Francisco Bay Area are going to be surprised to see this bike being sold. Yes, this is Wayne’s bike that he bought new and purchased the 1000 foot shop extension at Pro Italia by using their service and parts department. I asked Wayne for a list of what he had done to the bike and he sent the following compilation:

Ducati factory 888 conversion (cylinders, pistons, etc.)
Ducati factory 888 SP2 cams
Carrillo rods
Oversize valves
Reknown tuner CR Axtell did all flow work on heads and valves, all
matched to special header system
Termignoni "spaghetti" exhaust headers (used by Jimmy Adamo on his
racebike at Daytona)
Staintune hi-mount carbon fibre mufflers
Pro Italia hi-mount billet aluminum muffler brackets
Open airbox/K&N conversion
Ducati 888 oil cooler kit w/Pro Italia billet aluminum mounting brackets
Pro Italia billet aluminum rearsets

Radial GP clutch master cylinder
Stainless brake lines throughout
Regina 520 chain/sprocket conversion
Marchesini magnesium wheels

Monoposto 888 tail section
Carbon fibre hugger
Polished swingarm

Over $40k invested
Documentation for all work
Factory workshop manual
Extensive bound literature and writings on 851/888 street and race bikes

I just picked the bike from Hansen’s BMW Ducati in Medford, Or where they completed over $1500 of service on the bike. The bike needs nothing but more gas. It is currently titled in California if that is a concern to your titling issues. Besides being incredibly beautiful, it has some very rare and historic parts bolted to it. If you want more detail, I will e-mail the images directly. The bike is available for inspection 9-5, Monday through Saturday at Automania, 895 SE Gladiola Drive, Grants Pass, OR 97528. AUTOMANIA

541 479 8888 Oregon Dealer DA1287. See us about ARGO 6WD & 8WD Amphibian ATVs 541-660-1766, ask for Paul. Also check with him about Travel Trailer RV Rentals starting at $45/day.

VERY Rare Yamaha sport touring bike on Craigslist:

1993 Yamaha GTS1000 w/ some damage

Up for sale is my 1993 GTS 1000. I’ve owned it since 2002. It has just under 25,000 miles.
I also performed a first gear rolling drop, doing damage to the left side. The photos tell the story.

The bike is stock, except for the addition of a throttlelock.

Everything on the bike is operational. All gauges, lights, turn signals, odometers, ABS, exhaust, are in good working order. No warning lights are on during operation.

The bike rides great. On the highway, it rides straight and smooth. Get it up to speed, put the throttle lock on, and there are no scary vibes or pulling. The engine pulls nicely to its 10,500 rpm redline.

What is a GTS1000? In fifty words or less:

The Yamaha GTS1000 is most notable for its forkless, single sided swingarm front suspension.
Additionally, it was one of the first motorcycles to have ABS, Fuel Injection, and a catalyst exhaust. It also has a massive, center of wheel mounted front disk, providing stopping distances that rival or beat today’s sportbikes. The engine is derived from the FZR1000.
