thanks everyone, I have not really experienced a clutch like it however I am not the most experienced rider, so I now know its just a characteristic of the bike and nothing to worry about. The bike I was looking at has sold, gold and black 06 model which i loved the colour scheme of, but my mind is made up about the fz6n. great bike

That's true. Removing the inner fairing is about the dumbest damn thing, WTF were you thinking Mr. Yamaha???

The clutch I don't even think about anymore, even if I've been off the bike for a week.
