clicking sound from rear of bike????

Hello all, new to the forum and also fairly new to the motorcycle world. I have just recently gotten a 2009 yamaha FZ6Rand yesterday while riding i was hearing sort of a clicking sound coming from rear of bike. Chain looks kind of dry and almost looks like brake dust on rear rim. I guess my question is can a dry chain make that type of noise?????

Try lubing the chain - see what happens. No harm in over-lubing the chain (other than having to clean the rear wheel )

also, check the chain slack, which should be in your fz6R manual
